Nanny Cam

Many people have no choice to but to return to work or perform tasks where they are unable to take their children with them. In this case, most people have to rely on a babysitter or a nanny to take care of their children while they are away. Sometimes people are not always lucky to be able to have a relative or a close friend available to take care of their child so they have to hire a complete stranger.

Though parents might have numerous people that they interview and feel like they are trust, you still want to feel secure and complete comfort when leaving your child with a stranger. In this case would it be necessary to install spy cameras in your home for the safety of your child? If this is something that would make you feel more comfortable about having a sitter in your home, then yes it is necessary that you look into having a camera or two installed.

Cameras that are Visible
If you plan to have a visible nanny cam in your home, then you should make sure that they are not installed in personal areas of your home. The living room of your home or the kitchen is two places where the cameras would be considered appropriate to install. It is required that you look into any laws to determine the correct way to go about installing visible cameras. There are federal state laws that you would need to consider before the installation process. You can get ideas on where you can place your hidden camera here.

Cameras that are Hidden
Hidden cameras are acceptable to use as well, however, there are restrictions that you must follow for the privacy of a nanny or babysitter. Usually those restrictions require that you refrain from adding cameras to private areas such as the bathroom, the nanny's bedroom, or dressing rooms. You would not be allowed to take photos or images of the person whom you are filming with the hidden camera(s).

Many people fail to realize that the majority of nannies don’t mind if there is a camera or two in their presence when taking care of the children. However, they often become disappointed if the cameras were installed without their knowledge and they find out about them later on.

When deciding to install spy cams into your home, you should highly consider whether it is necessary because there’s no point in following through with the process if you are unwilling to do it the legal way. If you know that you can trust the person whom is taking care of your child then you should probably not consider getting a hidden camera, but if you have suspensions then your child’s safety is worth doing it for!
